I know many of you are cold, unable to get out and about. We are in summer here. Yesterday was 88.9% humidity. It's not nice and I am in the one of the colder states. This footage is just amazing to me, how something can occur so quickly, then fade away. You really have to appreciate nature..... I do like the calmness of those recording this. If they stopped to think or view the water running down the building and the carpark disappearing, well....perhaps they would move.
After seeing this, you will realise the summer comment wasn't to tease. It's hot with flood warnings all over the place. Even the Great Ocean Road was closed yesterday with more to come. The Northern states are the worse. I have family caught up in this.
There are many photos and pictures I could share, but I figured here was not the place. One of the amazing things with one area flood was the tsunami force it arrived and left. No time to get out. Leaving nothing of a country town.

Good Morning, Lisa. This is amazing footage, and yes, they remained incredibly calm covering it. I have been in tsunami's before and they are quite devastating. I'm sorry to hear your family was caught up in such and pray for everyone's safety.
Stay safe and dry Lisa.
yes for sure Lisa all of you stay dry and !!!
Wow!
Lisa, I have been following the floods that you are experiencing and the wake of destruction and loss. My thoughts and prayers are with those effected.May you be safe and strong.
It is the place. *smiles We do tackle matters of moment Lisa and all our thoughts are with you.
I haven't heard from my bro but I'm assuming he's at least got his surfboard out :) not good it's amazing that we have so much water in oz and Brasil and yet others can't get enough --- nature is a very powerful thing to respect and be in awe of.
Quinnie,
We still have water restrictions too. There isnt enough water, go figure. Water levels are at 50% here. Which is actually good for us. Up North, they are told to put blench in their water if they cant boil it.
I am sure you bro got his surf board out, mine did. Although some areas now have Crocs, as they have been washed in, one guy was bitten talking to a mate standing on the main street. You'd have to be unlucky, lol, poor bugger
