The Dewarists....

Dewarism.... Google and you will find "Sir Thomas Dewar, a famous whisky distiller and philosopher, believed success in life could be obtained without arduous work, as described in his concept of Dewarism.

This can be possible , only when you actually don't think of work to be work , meaning , you do what you love and are passionate about and it will never feel like you are working.

Why am I writing about this ? 'Coz The Dewarists follow the same. I bring music to this blog ( well when I am not being lazy and cramped up with work that is :p). But this time I bring more than music.

We have a new musical series running here called The Dewarists. It a travelogue as well as a documentary. Where famous musicians from India and abroad, of different genre travel together to different parts of India , collaborate and then you have these beautiful soul touching master pieces being created , which are a true form of happiness.

Each song reflects the place , the people and the musical base of the musicians. Its inspiring to watch the series , as these individuals have gone beyond the realms of their disciplines and made a mark and are still trying to outdo themselves.

I suggest you all go through the 8 episodes aired so far , as you will learn more about India, Indians and Indian music.

I bring to you the top three episodes on Neha's Chartbuster:

'Coz its Imogen Heap ! and Vishal is an awesome musician and lyricist. The song is worth falling in love with.

'Coz India and Pakistan can work together. The song is amazingly soothing and Shantanu Moitra is godly composer

'Coz its SHUBHA MUDGAL . Period. This one shows how Indian classical and folk metal can go hand-in-hand ( in-your-face answer to old and new aren't supposed to mix people) and again a beautiful song.

I have only put up the end results here , please do go and watch these episodes on http://thedewarists.com/

* I hope there are no copyright issues.

PSS: Oh you might not find logic in the way the post is written , its difficult for me to follow simple logic :P
