With no-one to remind me I can be very tardy about remembering birthdays. On Wednesday it seems I missed the Blog’s Birthday.
On Monday 23rd of November 2009 we entered the world of Blogging with the Girl’s Room Blog with a post entitled:
Welcome to the New Girl’s Room Blog.
Welcome to the Blog dedicated to all things related to the Girl’s Room in L.iterotca
Since then the Blog has had a bouncy ride but a good one overall. Despite many ups and downs we still manage well over a hundred hits a day with latterly an increasing Russian contigent. During that time ‘Good friends we have had, good friends we've lost along the way,’ and this post is dedicated to them.

Now this is a birthday worthy of celebration! Thank Saffy for establishing this forum . I've been astounded by the talent of everyone that has contributed . Writers , poets, the humor and exquisite taste of the photos of all genres.
Many have passed through with most leaving behind good memories . Hopefully many will come back to visit and stay a while longer. It's been a remarkable little haven which I thank you all for.
Happy Birthday to the blog and it's contributing members. Many have contributed their respective talents to make the blog what it is, but none so more than you, Saffy.
