New Chat Help Line!

A very popular feature in our previous incarnation as the Lit Girl’s Room was Auntie Quinnie’s ‘Agony Aunt’ spot, where she gave help and advice relating to the problems besetting the modern chatter in the cyber world. Readers will recall that I proposed resurrecting the service a few days ago. However, clearly the inestimable Auntie is irreplaceable and the suggestion this time is that the service is run by a small team of Bloggers who will answer the post bag on a rota basis. So far the business model seems good as we already have three volunteers to run the service (more are welcome - if you wish to do a stint let me know), I even went into Lit and Chatavenue to conduct a straw poll which met with a very positive response. Two or three chatters have already indicated a willingness to write in to trial the service. To facilitate this, the blog now has its own e-mail address which conveniently is girlscoffeeshop@yahoo.com. Having an e-mail address will of course circumvent many of the feedback problems we have had in the past when opening up comments to the public. It is intended that the Agony Aunt team post under the generic banner of ‘Auntie Jill.’
