I enjoy Loudon, he’s part of that great, thinking American ‘leftie’ culture and the song has all the imagery you’d expect, Dylan, Kerouac, Steinbeck, Guthrie etc. I suspect it’s a tongue in cheek satire of Dylan in some ways.
