A mop and an air freshener

I swear, you can't make this stuff up...

Went with two co-workers to Burger King for lunch.  We're sitting in a booth near the back of the restaurant--we have a lovely view of a crappy tree and the back of a building.  There weren't many there eating, but, the few that were there were spread out, limiting our seating choices.  Since seating was limited, we chose what we thought was the best seat in the house--a table or two from the restrooms.

There is an elementary school just down the street and I think they take the kids in the kindergarten class to lunch once or twice a month.  Today was the day for them to go eat at Burger King.  We're eating and one of the associates passes us, headed to the bathrooms.  She was talking out loud, to herself, to other staff--I'm not really sure--telling everyone that the children were coming.  She passes us and heads to the women's restroom.  She enters and is gone only a short time.  The door opens and she proceeds over to the men's restroom.  The lady knocks, to check to see if anyone was in there.  No answer, so, she enters.  Mere seconds after entering--the door hadn't had time to shut--she comes back out and says, out loud, (now, mind you, we're at the back of the restaurant and the other workers are at the FRONT of the restaurant) "I need a mop and an air freshener!"

You try to keep from laughing--I couldn't.  I've giggled all day over this story.

I just love stories like these. Not just because they make me giggle, but because they are little vignettes of people’s real lives. This story is of course funny, but to work these everyday stories don’t have to be, they work regardless I guess you would call them ‘human interest stories.’ I enjoyed this story… thank you Allison ….keep them coming.
