Editorial
The September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City were one of the seminal events of the new millennium. In terms of sheer evil, in that they were directed entirely against innocent civilians, it ranks up there, if not surpasses Stalin, Hitler Pol Pot and all the despots from the last century. It is still hard to comprehend the ‘moral justification’ that some have sought to endorse this seminal event with.
To my certain knowledge this terrible outrage changed the lives of at least two of my friends here forever. One who found a sense of purpose by joining the American armed forces and the other who lost a parent in the most tragic of circumstances. Suffice to say my thoughts are with them today and all those others whose lives were irretrievably transformed by this evil and senseless carnage.
