...everywhere there are reminders of the city's provenance....and yes there is an errant apostrophe!
...few buildings seem to fight shy of spreading the wisdom of God.
...although not all buildings are as old as they look. The spikes on the window ledges are to discourage roosting pigeons which soon turn the place into a mess.
Every high street of course has its busker and most are usually very good....
The town wall now bisects the main shopping street at right angles and carries a clock to remind the good citizens of the hour. Tomorrow we will spend some time walking the city walls........
