So yes, it is I KimmieCoCoPuff........I'm due to travel by myself in unforeseen territory. My travels include, Texas to Georgia, and then off to North Carolina. Instead of flying, I chose to travel by way of the automobile. Crazy! But instead, I think of it as a time of enlightenment and clarity. Yes there may be snow storms and ice, I'm Fearless. To be honest, I lived in a bubble once I became civilian from the military. I'm tired of the constricting mundane life of normalcy. It's time for change, change in a new fascinating aspect. Life is more than the 9 to 5 that people live; It's something to take and conquer.
I do plan on documenting my travels...I'm sure you will all find them an interesting read. Including Photographs and Video, perhaps you have insight to my trip. I leave the 14th of January and will be gone through the 22nd. And yes, I am driving back to Texas on my birthday.....LOL:)

Well, I envy you, Kimmie. I hope you have a wonderful and entertaining time. The journey is sometimes more important than the arrival. Travel safely.
Have a safe trip, Kimmie! :)
Well, I hope you enjoy your travel and bring us back lots of juicy goss. If you dont, well then we will just have to give you someone for your birthday....now let's see, who should it be?
Wow your trip sounds absolutely wonderful Kimmie. And no! You’re not crazy it’s a way of finding yourself and touching the face of God. Leaving behind the mundane safety of home. Getting the rain on your face. Driving through little communities in the arse-end of nowhere, meeting new people, discovering new customs. Back in the 60s and 70s our parent’s generation would go ‘on the road’ for weeks at a time in a journey of self discovery. I have this dream of one day touring the USA, South America or India on a motorbike (in the summer I would add).
I hope you have a truly wonderful time. You will know better than I that good preparation will make all the difference. Don’t forget your battery chargers and plenty of memory cards. Swiss Army penknife? Maglite torch? Spanners, parachute cord, a whistle and plenty of clean shreddies. I for one look forward in anticipation to your journal. Do bear in mind that what you may feel is commonplace, may well be an object of considerable fascination to someone not from the USA!
Have a really wonderful time and stay safe!
Thanks Monica, Camille, Lisa, and saffy.
Funny you mention Preparation Saffy. I actually went to the sporting goods store this past weekend and got two flashlight, glowsticks (no not planning on going to a rave), plenty or thermal underwear, and even tons of batteries. Might even use some of the batteries for my flashlights...LOL:) But no worries, I will travel safe.
be safe Kimmie.. the roads can be very difficult. I envy your ability to pick up and go. I have "Wander-Lust" myself right now, and only wish I could tag along. See you on your birthday!
Well Liss, anytime you would like to journey, you can come along. There is nothing quite like reflection time and creating moments.
Thank you for your comment:)
I wish you a safe trip, Kimmie. The weather there right now is bad, and somewhat unpredictable. Be safe. I hope you are able to take pictures of your trip ,too and share them, later.
Like many here have said, I hope you have a great time, both traveling, and getting there. wishing you all the best.
Kimmie, if you travel alone it makes the trip more enjoyable if you can take someone along on the virtual trip. I find that I investigate the object rather than just seeing.
Enjoy and take us along :-)
Enjoy the drive Kimmie. I'd rather drive than fly myself as well. Drive safe and stay warm.
No worries dear ladies:) I'm highly trained in worst case scenarios...lol:) I know I could of wimped out and bought an airline ticket, but I felt the need to push forth with my journey via automobile. Thank you Mary, Jenny, and Nicky. Thank you all for your blessings. *smile and hugs to all*
