‘hey there nice blog =)’
The Blog counter recorded our milestone 40,000th hit sometime on Christmas day. Not surprisingly it went by largely unnoticed. Despite the holiday period being a traditionally quiet time for the Blog, our counter continues to suggest a readership well beyond our membership. How people manage to find us is largely unclear as we have elected not to be accessible to search engines.
Non-the-less. Last week Sammie received a an e-mail entitled: ‘hey there nice blog =)’ It went on to say:
Hi there blogger! Just visited your "Girl's Coffee Shop" blog and I was super impressed by its design and content. We started our site Lookville.com not too long ago. It's a place for people to have discussions, share tips, and ask questions about fashion. It's been going great so far and I would love to have you on it! check it out ......
For anyone who likes to look good this exciting site is well worth a visit. It tackles important questions like: ‘What shoes could I wear with these colours?’ and recently has done a piece on antebellum dresses (please note Monica)! The site can be found HERE (A link has also been added in the right hand column.)
Of course not only is this a lovely compliment, but the contact does promote the idea of linking to complementary interests.
We began life as a rather disparate and sometimes desperate group of ‘bi and lesbian’ women, who were ex-pats of Literotica. Since then we have grown to include ‘straight’ women, women who have never been in Literotica and even the odd house-trained man (that’s you Dan). There is a sound ethical basis for promoting the inclusion and participation of like minded people and as long as it accords with our over-arching purpose we have to-date welcomed that.
As we become more and more widely known, there may be a wish to become available for web search engines. There are also likely to be more opportunities for linking as well as requests to extend our membership. Either way I would welcome views on these matters. Thank you!

Thanks Saff I really liked the Lookville site so many great ideas. For what it's worth I'm all for the blog encompassing new ideas and people.
Have you ever thought of an open day where for one or two hours we let anyone comment? It would need controlling to avoid the crap we had last time. It's just a thought.
That's an awesome Idea Linda. I think an open comment day would be of interest to a lot of readers.
Can we charge admission?
