Even more from the blue period.

It is alleged that the painter Joshua Reynolds once proffered the view that no really pleasing painting could have as it’s predominant colour blue. His rival Thomas Gainsborough rose to this challenge by painting the Blue Boy. Here are a few more pictures in the same vein.

Memory.....my grandmother had quite a good copy of "Blue Boy" hanging over her FP. Wonder what ever became of it.
