Lake Havasu, AZ is home to more lighthouses than any other city in America. These 1/3 scale replicas are actual functioning navigational aids, built to the specifications of famous East and West Coast lighthouses. More than 15 currently dot the shores of the lake, with several others planned.
Enjoyed getting to them all however some required a watercraft :-)
Hi, Sweet Mary. Maybe you could share some of your photos of them?
I have a few memories of seeing Arizona as a child. My father was an airplane pilot, but as a hobby he built a Scorpion II helicopter one year. We drove to AZ to pick up the frame for it. Most vividly, I recall having lunch at a rest stop. When we opened the loaf of bread to make sandwiches each slice instantly became like snap apart toast. And I remember a ton of tarantulas covering the roads for miles and so thick it was surreal...and cactus blooms more lovely than I've ever seen before or since, anywhere else.

I think now I actually like lighthouses.
Thanks... I've always been a fan of folk rock especially when delivered by 'The Run Rig Dance Band'
There she is... You know Michigan is full of Lighthouses right?
Yes baby, well aware. :)
