Why dogs are sometimes better than men.......

It happens. If you are married, or in a relationship, and men are involved, You can forget about watching anything meaningful on television, especially during a televised sporting event or football season. When football season ends, Hockey season takes center stage until June. June of course brings baseball in all it's glory, till football season starts anew.

This precludes having anything in the way of a meaningful dialogue unless it's about a sports players RBI's,or passing yards. The only one who cares what you think or say is yes, your buddy, the family dog. I would have said the cat, but in my case he ignores me, and keeps reading the financial section in the paper.

I decided to list a number of ways in which your family dog may be a better friend.

1.Dogs don't criticize your friends.

2.You can train a dog.

3.Dogs are easy to buy for.

4.You never have to be suspicious of your dogs dreams.

5.Dogs feel guilty when they have done something wrong.

6.Dogs understand what no means.

7.Dogs don't feel threatened by your intelligence.

8.Dogs understand if their friends can't come inside.

9. Dogs know and admit when they are lost.

10.Dogs don't have issues expressing affection in public.

11.Dogs miss you if you leave for a few days.

12. Dogs are very direct about needing to go out.

13. Dogs do not play games with you ( unless a frisbee or ball are involved, and they never laugh at how you throw)

14 Dogs will at least pretend they care what you are saying to them

15. Dogs won't use your tooth brush to scrub out a spot on their clothes.

* Keep this in mind when passing an animal shelter considering an adoption. It is also be kind to animals week, so remember to hug a hockey player *

Dogs don’t lie, nor do they borrow your car, leave their smelly socks in the kitchen, dump pizza boxes all over the house or vomit outside the front door after a night out…. I was going to say nor do they fart indiscriminately, but sadly my pair can be quite un-lady-like regarding this matter. Great article Gorgeous, particularly loved the photo of the dog with the tie.

Great article. I'm more cat than dog personally but that's because cats have a sort of dominant attitude lol

Nicky thanks for the laughs. Good timing too. So much truth to be found in humor I might add!
