OMG - do people really send this sort of stuff out?
Am I alone in detesting those 'Christmas Circulars' that people send with Christmas cards? You know, the sort of thing that say, 'Uncle Frank's piles are much better, little Jimmy had acne but its clearing nicely and 14 year old Britney is delighted to annnounce the birth of her daughter, Tracey.' They always seem so impersonal to me. When I write cards I put a personal message in - the one to my mother said, 'Why dont you....' but perhaps better I dont finish that!
I agree Mons the annual circular boast, tends to drive me to distraction too. 'This year we went to France and Cedric got a third in Media Studies at Neasden University etc...'
