This is the last part of my trip around Split in Croatia.

Realising readers would be far more interested in what the local women looked liked I turned my attention to trying to grab a few representative photos. Here are some locals busy carrying out some ‘Swoosh’ polishing.

There is no shortage of sturdy blondes in this part of the world.

..and of course if you keep on your toes you can always frame your photo with a good caption.

The old part of the town contains buildings from a variety of periods and features lots of interesting clocks and bell towers.

…and of course it’s always heartening to see the increasing numbers of women who are becoming Nikonistas.

Not sure who this guy is but he looked capable of starting a Balkan war.

Freud found his way here at some time where he often stayed with a fellow Freemason. It is claimed he developed many of his ideas here including those on ‘eros and thanatos.’

I took this photo for Mons who as we know is heavily into hat porn.

Split is also a good place for unbleached rolling papers if that’s your bag.

It is no surprise to see considerable examples of Venetian influence.

..a few minutes talking motorbikes with the local lads………. lets face it few people know how to tickle needle carburettors these days.

Finally like most big cities these days Split is plagued by pigeons. Apparently they have a thing for the local accordionists…..

From the stains on this guy’s hat this is clearly not good news. Sadly this was to be my last shot as we had to press on with our journey.

I particularly enjoyed La Nikonista - the way her camera strap lifted and separated seemed especially attractive - must be too long in the desert!
Great photos as always Saffy. I love the pigeon ones.
100% squeezed love it.
She actually looks as though she has been squeezed. LOL
