A short rant

Really surprised that so few of you are contributing to the blog.  Not even sure how many of you read this.  Hard to believe that we used to have so many people who would take a few minutes out of their day to post.  Saffy and a few others worked so hard to make this a thriving blog and now it seems as if no one cares any more.  I don't normally speak out on things like this, but, I just find it sad that it appears that so little of you all care any more.

Allison, I know I don't contribute but I very much appreciate those of you that do. You and Jenny and Monica have been the saving grace. I know how much Saffy cares and how she is greatful to you few. I can tell you only that I thank you few for keeping the connection going and I still look forward to checking in seeing what you have done.Thank you Allison, Monica and Jenny.

Thank you too Jaye - you always find time to comment and for those who write it is a great filip. I do understand how you feel, Allison but let's not get downhearted. You make a serious contribution and it IS appreciated by so many of us. The blog goes up and down but overall it is one of the best and will continue to be.

You're welcome Monica and will echo that it is still among the best. There is quantity and the there is quality. I'll take the latter , thank you very much.

There are a number of reasons I'm not as active but I can assure you that "not caring" isn't one of them. I personally find that implication upsetting because I’ve put forth a ton of effort on behalf of this blog since October 2010. Additionally, my being told “I should be ashamed of myself” for replying to certain member’s posts, further, for “even considering replying” to their posts, based solely on the fact some members “can't stand them" is counter productive toward the sustained success or harmony of any blog. I cannot speak for anyone else’s absence, but part of mine is due to caring too fairly to suit some, not because I care too little. Saffron asked me to be her Editor because I’m equally supportive of everyone. But examples like the above interfere with anyone’s ability to be effective. No one can help her if inadequate support exists for them whenever in that capacity or their efforts and others are being bushwhacked by a lack of solidarity with people playing favorites.
