Thank You!

Many thanks to all of you who pasted so many lovely comments to mark my resignation from the Blog editorship. I have just had chance to read them and feel both humbled and deeply touched by all the generous things you’ve had to say.

I hope I didn’t confuse any of you, but I would hate anyone to think I have left the Blog for good. My position is I have resigned the editorship because of time constraints, but I do intend to drop by whenever I can, even though that might be infrequently until at least November.

Perhaps some of the confusion arises because I have chosen for the moment to leave the world of Chat and Messenger. The decision was not taken lightly and again was made in part because of the pressure of work. However I do have to say and here I can only speak for myself, but I feel a point is reached where one can be on-line too long. Despite some wonderful times, with wonderful friends I have never been totally comfortable with the medium. I’m a crap typist and that combined with my mild dyslexia can be very irritating. Finally, I’m one of those people who tends to make my character judgements by what I see in people’s eyes within the first minute of meeting. Consequently in this ‘blind’ world I have made some spectacularly bad judgements of character. So for the moment I really do need to get away from the drama, secrecy and it must be said disingenuous behaviour that sometimes swirls around the world of chat. This of course is a personal view and I realise that many of you are far more on-line street-wise than I will ever be.

Having said that, as my close friends know I am still contactable by e-mail. I trust this clears up any confusion.

Once more many thanks for your kind words and unstinting support while I was editor. I am sure you will all give Camille the same support.
