Cricket is fairly simple to understand. I will just introduce the different roles played by players in the game in the 1st session. There are two teams playing each other with 11 players each team
The game starts with a toss between the captains of the two teams , the winner has a choice between , batting and bowling.
Now there are batsmen/women who hit the leather ball.
There are 2 umpires , who make decisions. ( the only one who is standing in the picture below)
There is a bowler , who bowls to the batsmen/women
There is a wicket keeper , who is basically incharge of making sure the ball isn't going anywhere it is not supposed to :p who stands behind the batsmen and the "wickets".
and there are fielder , you run behind the ball trying to not let the other team score runs.Phew , with this out of the way we will continue the class tomorrow , be in time kids , I don't entertain late comers!
PS: Sammie , sorry I have been going out everyday since my finals and have been lazy as well , hence the delay.

Super post Neha. I played the game a few times at school, but tended to be excused as I was in the athletics team.
Maybe time I started playing cricket again?

Lady S its a fun game , i love playing it , but hate watching it ! its become very commercialized and the players now are more in it for money than the game !
